Hey all,
I just thought I'd ask on here what everyone loves about the holidays. Unfortunately, I don't think Christmas this year is going to be all that I wanted itt to be, but I guess It's ok. Anyway, this can be for any religion, not just Christmas. I thought I'd add that in because I don't want it to look like this is just for people who celebrate Christmas. So whatever you celebrate, you can write to. Anyway, the thing I love most about the holidays, is the music. Music for me at least, brings me up and makes me happy. I love to decorate and buying presents for people. It's fun to pick out things for people and totally surprise them. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do about gifts this year, but I guess I'll have to figure it out. I love to put up the Christmas tree and decorate lights. Once I tried to make a Christmas village out of clay, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted, so i bought one. It's so cute. lol. But the thing I love most about christmas or any holiday, is that it's suppose to be peaceful, and people are suppose to be happy I guess, and you let the holiday fill your heart with joy. Now I'm not deeply religious or anything, but if the snow isn't on the ground or because it doesn't feel like Christmas doesn't mean it's still not there. Put it in your heart, that's where it's suppose to be right? Anyway, I think I'm done blabbing for now. If I think of anything else, I'll let you guys know. So tell me all you want, and have a happy holiday!

I don't like holidays that much but I do like christmas when the family comes over on christmas day. Then a week later we have hogmany as we call it in Scotland meaning new year. I listen to the radio on Hogmany until 12 o'clock mid night. Michelle
I agree about the music. Its my favorite part. Sometimes, I even don't mind going to a party and playing, provided there are lots of singers around. I'll only be brief, as I don't want to feel like I'm preaching, or anyone to feel like they're being preached at, but I always rember who's birthday it is. As far as the music goes, A good chunk of my CD's are Christmas ones.
Awww jasmin, I wouldn't say that. Anyways I just like the family, gifts, and socializing. Also like Grandmas home cooken.

Well... I guess my favorite part of the holidays is... Just spending time with your loved ones and just seeing everyone happy. I also like listening to Christmas music. I also enjoy watching Christmas movies with the family. I love the holidays!!!!!!
My favourite part of the hollidays is when they end. I hate them, either having to be nice to people you don't like, wouldn't normally asociate with, the obligation to buy gifts for people you couldn't care less about, and then there is that thing where people feel the need to just pig themselves stupid, we'd all be better off if they didn't exist.
Well, I don't think I'm quite as bitter as Kevin, but January 2 is my favorite holiday as it signifies the end of the holiday season.

My favorite part of Christmas is giving and recieving presents, finding wrapped presents under the tree on Christmas morning, and I liked the midnight Mass that my small church had on Christmas Eve/Christmas night. Also, the music is nice.
I like the music. The holiday music puts me in such cheerful spirits. And I love being with family, especially on Christmas Eve, when my mom is cooking up a nice dinner. I don't really care much about presents. They're nice, and I don't mind them, but I like to just spend time with those I care about and see everyone happy.
My favorite part about the holidays is all the excitement that always comes with it. I have a very big family and we all love playing secret santa and there is always a "gift opening" session on Christmas day which always makes me so happy when I here the laughter and happiness that poors out from everyone. I love Christmas and even though our family does not have a special meal, it's always so nice when I'm visiting with them. lol We always turn the tv on and when the ball drops, all my sybblings open the door and yell outside, "Happy New Year!" lol The poor neighbors! heheheh

Oh yes ... New Year's Eve is crazy with our family, too. They always watch the ball drop, and then we go around hugging each other and crazily, and sometimes drunkenly, shouting "happy new year!" Hehehehe.

Hmm, there are so many things I love about the holidays that it's hard to list just a few. I love decorating the house for Christmas, we have a ton of stuff to put up and the whole place looks really nice once we finish. I love going to parties and spending time with friends, especially since we're all in college now and don't get to see each other as much. I love listening to all that excellent (or not-so-excellent) music. And finally, I love those family traditions that happen every year, like spending Christmas Eve at my grandmother's or not being allowed to go down and open presents till my parents put some music on.
Definitely the christmas music and the food!
I personally love giving and receiving presents, spending time with friends and family, all the lovely Christmas food and not having to go to work!
When friends are coming who I have not seen in ages. Like, our friends are coming in two days, and that makes me happy.
